Yearbooks Are Here And For Sale
Yes, you can STILL get the yearbook! Yearbooks are on sale before school, during 5th period, and after school in the front office conference room. Cost is $75. Also, clear covers and autograph pages are available for $5. See a staff member during 5th period. Anyone absent on distribution day who bought a book should get the book before school, after school, or in the front office.
Peer Helper Applications
Any student interested in being a peer helper should see Ms. Martin for an application. Applications are due May 20th.
Service Learning Hours Reminder
Students are reminded that all service learning hours need to be turned in to Mrs. Goodwin in room 312 by the 17th to be entered into the computer.
Georgia Grace Edwards Wins Scholarship
Congratulations to Georgia Grace Edwards, a member of the Cumberland Valley Optimist Club, who won the Maryland South Delaware and Optimist International Essay Contest Scholarship. She received $2,500 for her essay based on how to help her friends realize their value.
Attention all Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors
You have until Friday, May 17th, to turn in any completed service learning papers. If you need hours, there is a service project being sponsored by the City of Frostburg tomorrow morning to clean up and beautify the city/ Volunteers are to meet at Fat Boys Pizza at 8 a.m. to be given assignments until noon. Caitlin Woodson Represents Frostburg at the National Youth Correspondent
Due to her academic accomplishments, Caitlin Woodson has been chosen to represent Frostburg as a National Youth Correspondent. She will travel to Washington D.C. where she will intervene with students from the nation and have the opportunity to study journalism and media. Congratulations and best of luck!
Upward Bound Accepting Applications
Frostburg State University’s Upward Bound Program is accepting applications. Upward Bound is federally funded, pre-college program designed to encourage and motivate qualified students in pursuing a college education. There is no cost to participants… we actually pay you to attend!

"Miner Maniacs" T-Shirts Now on Sale.
The Mountain Ridge Football Parents Association is now selling Miner Maniacs t-shirts to benefit the Miners Football team. Shirts are available for $10 each.
