Brianna Ralston Nominated to Attend Ambassador Leadership Summit
Brianna Ralston, a junior at Mountain Ridge High School, has been nominated to attend the 2017 Ambassador Leadership Summit based on demonstration of outstanding scholastic merit, leadership potential, and exemplary citizenship.  She will attend the Leadership Summit in July at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
At the Ambassador Leadership Summit in Harvard, Brianna and other student leaders will come together to collaborate and get equipped with new knowledge and tools to take their leadership to the next level. She will be working with fellow students who come from as many as 140 countries, which makes the summit a melting pot of cultures and ideas, providing new global perspectives for the challenges and opportunities this generation will face, and how each of them can make a difference—in their lives, their communities, and the world.
Brianna Ralston is a member of the National Honor Society with a 4.3 GPA.  She is a Varsity Cheerleader and was named an All-American Cheerleader by Elite Cheer. Brianna was named Mountain Ridge Junior Homecoming Princess by her classmates.  She is a member of the Unified Track and Field Team, the Unified Bocce Ball team, Spanish Club, and SADD.  Brianna is the daughter of Jennifer Hosken Ralston and John Ralston, Jr.

Students  from Mountain Ridge High School’s S.A.D.D.  (Students Against Destructive Decisions) recently designed a billboard and recorded radio ads as part of a collaborative effort with Kathy Dudley, Allegany County Health Department, and Joe and Kerri Caporale of the Carporale Group  to emphasize the health risks of using e-cigarettes.   Students who designed the billboard are Angela Colmer, Shyanne Foutz, Donna Morgan, and Sarah Robertson.  Students who wrote and recorded radio ads are Brandi Morgan, Brianna Ralston, and Aashe Singh.  The ads can be heard on local ARC radio stations, and the billboard will be displayed soon.  Leslie Martin is the SADD Advisor at MRHS, and Kathy Dudley is a Health Educator for the Tobacco Use Prevention and Promotion program at the Allegany County Health Department.
