Mrs. Baker, the Department Chair, and Mrs. Anderson are the art teachers at Mountain Ridge High School. They teach their students the fundamentals of art and help them realize their own creativity in the four different art levels available: Art I, Art II, Art III, Art IV.
The State Curriculum for Maryland fine Arts states the students will do the following: Students will demonstrate an understanding of visual art as an essential aspect of history and human experience. Students will demonstrate the ability to organize knowledge and ideas for expression in the production of art, as well as the ability to identify, analyze, and apply criteria for making visual aesthetic judgments.
