Math Department

The Math Department at Mountain Ridge High School offers a diverse selection of advanced and basic classes for each grade level. Students are expected to follow the guidelines of the Maryland Voluntary State Curriculum and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Standards and Expectations. There are many different goals of the Math Department, including functions, algebra, geometry, measurement, reasoning, and data analysis, and probability. As students advance throughout their high school careers and beyond, math will always be an essential element. Therefore, much emphasis is placed on this educational process at Mountain Ridge High School.
