Upward Bound

Upward Bound:
The Upward Bound Program is an academic oriented geared toward gradual college attendance. The program that is mostly based at Frostburg State University. Each of the county schools sponsors a "target-school site" and an Advisor. Meetings for the members are held approximately once-a-month on a Wednesday, and that is followed immediately by a Saturday session that is conducted on the campus of Frostburg State University. The Upward Bound program also has a summer component of a multiple week overnight stays on the campus of FSU ( you attend classes, live in the dorms and eat at the campus dining hall just like a college student). A cash incentive/stipend is paid to the students who participate. Students have to apply, qualify, and be selected to be a part of the Upward Bound program.
